Welcome to Airihi Design Studio — a small business creating art, gifts, accessories and homeware for people who like their stuff a little more colourful and a lot more unique.

Airihi Design Studio started its journey in Ireland as a multi-award-winning small business named Dóchas Design Studio. Over the years, I've grown, experimented, made a ridiculous number of things, and slowly figured out what I really wanted Airihi Design Studio to become in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Making the ordinary a little less ordinary

One of the things I love most about creating is taking things that can feel stuffy, traditional or dated and giving them a modern twist. I'm inspired by culture, nostalgia, pop culture, humour and everyday life, and I love combining those things to create something that feels familiar but completely different.

I want to celebrate the things that make us who we are while having a bit of fun with them. Basically, if I can make something more colourful, more fun and make you laugh at the same time, I know I'm designing exactly what I planned.

Personality for your home

Airihi Design Studio is all about individuality.

I don't believe your home, your desk, your bag or your bookshelf should look like everyone else's. The things around us should have personality. They should make us smile when we walk past them. They should make someone say, "Okay, where did you get that?"

So that's what I'm trying to make.

You'll find vibrant prints, greeting cards, gifts, accessories and homeware hand drawn and designed in Auckland, with plenty more ideas constantly being brought to life.
